Cookie policy
Which cookies Consee keeps in your browser, why, and how to control them.
Last updated:
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can recognise you from one request to the next. Websites can also keep preferences in the browser's local storage (localStorage). This policy covers both.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
Without these the service does not work. They need no consent, and blocking them means you cannot sign in:
- cos_session — the sign-in cookie. Created when you sign in to the team workspace or the portal, signed, hidden from scripts (HttpOnly) and sent only over secure connections. It lasts 30 days and is deleted when you sign out.
- cos_return_to — remembers the page you were trying to reach before you were sent to sign in, so you land back there. It lasts 10 minutes and is deleted on first use.
3. Preferences kept in your browser
Three items are kept in the browser's local storage and never sent to our servers:
- consultos:theme — whether you chose the dark or light view.
- consultos:cookie-notice — that you closed the cookie notice, so it is not shown again in that browser.
- consultos:a11y — the display preferences you chose in the accessibility menu (text size, contrast and so on). Stored only if you changed something.
Clearing the site's data in your browser resets them.
4. Third-party cookies
On the sign-in screens, the Sign in with Google button is loaded from accounts.google.com. Google may set its own cookies as part of that button, under Google's privacy policy. We do not read or control them.
There are no other third-party cookies in the service.
5. What is not here
The service uses no advertising cookies, social-media pixels, third-party analytics or cross-site tracking of any kind. If we ever add such a tool, we will update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.
6. Controlling cookies
7. Changes and contact
We update this policy when the service changes; the date of the last update is at the top of the page. Questions: hello@consee.ai. More about the data we collect is in the privacy policy.
