Terms of use

The terms that apply to using Consee's website, team workspace and client portal.

Last updated:

1. Accepting these terms

Welcome to Consee, a workspace for business and marketing consultants operated by Consee, a trade name of ConsultOS ("we", "us"). These terms, together with the privacy policy and the cookie policy, are the agreement between you and us.

By browsing the site, submitting a form, or signing in to the team workspace or the client portal, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service. You must be 18 or older to use it.

2. Definitions

  • "Service" — the website, team workspace, client portal, APIs and related features, including meeting transcription and AI analysis.
  • "Organization" — a consulting firm with an account in the service. "Owner" — the person who asked to open the organization and was approved.
  • "Team member" — a consultant, mentor or anyone else the owner invites to the team workspace.
  • "Client" — a client of the organization who was given access to the client portal.
  • "Organization content" — everything the organization or its team enters, uploads or produces in the service: client details, meetings, recordings, transcripts, summaries, tasks, files and messages.

3. Joining the service

Joining is by invitation. An organization is opened only after we approve a request or a design-partner application, and we may approve or decline at our discretion without giving reasons. When enrolment is closed, the site offers a waitlist; joining it does not guarantee a place or a date.

Team members join by invitation from the owner. Clients join the portal by invitation from the organization.

4. Accounts and sign-in

You sign in to the team workspace and to the client portal with the Google account the invitation was sent to. You are responsible for keeping that Google account secure and for everything done through your account.

Do not share an account, sign in to someone else's account, or try to get around sign-in, permissions or rate limits. Tell us straight away if you learn of unauthorized use of your account.

An email address can belong to one organization on Consee.

5. The owner's responsibilities

The owner is responsible to us for all use of the service on the organization's behalf, including by the team members and clients it invites. In particular, the owner:

  • confirms it has a lawful basis to collect, keep and process the personal data it enters about its clients, and meets its obligations as controller under the data protection law that applies to it;
  • sets permissions in the organization and decides which items are visible to a client in the portal — anything marked visible is shown to that client;
  • removes team members who leave and clients whose engagement has ended.

6. Your content

Organization content belongs to the organization; we acquire no rights in it. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, display and transmit it as needed to provide the service — including transcription, summarizing and analysis through the sub-processors listed in the privacy policy — and for no other purpose.

You are responsible for making sure your content does not infringe anyone's rights and is not unlawful. We may remove content that breaches these terms or the law, and will tell you when the law allows.

7. Meeting recordings, transcription and AI

The service lets you upload a meeting recording or send a transcription bot to a video meeting. Recording is done on the organization's initiative and responsibility. The organization must inform every participant about the recording and obtain their consent where the applicable law requires it, before recording. The bot appears in the participant list under a visible name to help with this, but it is not a substitute for consent.

Transcripts, summaries, suggested tasks, sentiment, the client health score and extracted financial figures are produced automatically and can contain mistakes. They are tools for the consultant, not business, legal, financial or other professional advice. Checking them, approving them and acting on them is solely the organization's responsibility.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone's copyright, privacy or other rights;
  • record anyone without their knowledge and consent where the law requires it;
  • send spam, or messages that breach Google's terms;
  • scrape, copy or mine data from the service by automated means, or reverse-engineer it;
  • overload or disrupt the service, try to reach another organization's data, or test its security without our written permission;
  • impersonate another person or organization.

9. The client portal

The portal shows a client what the organization chose to share: tasks, approved meeting summaries, meeting times, figures and remaining sessions. It is a channel between the client and the organization; we are not a party to their engagement and are not responsible for the organization's consulting services or for what it shares.

A client with a question about what they see or about their engagement should contact the organization.

10. Third-party services

The service works with other companies' services — Google (sign-in, Calendar, Forms, Meet) and others. Using them is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and they may change or stop outside our control. Connecting one to your account is your choice, and you can disconnect it at any time.

11. Fees and commercial terms

Price, number of users, term and support are set in the order or agreement signed with the organization. Without such an agreement, the service is provided free of charge as a trial, and we may end the trial or offer commercial terms with 30 days' notice.

If the agreement with the organization and these terms conflict, the agreement prevails on commercial matters only.

12. Availability, changes and maintenance

The service is in an early stage, and cohorts are deliberately small. We work to keep it available, but do not promise uninterrupted service; there may be interruptions for maintenance, updates or faults. We may change, add or remove features, and will give notice before removing a material one.

We recommend that organizations keep their own copies of important recordings and documents. Data export is available to the organization.

13. Intellectual property

The service, its code, design, marks, the name Consee and its logo belong to ConsultOS or its licensors. You receive a personal, limited, revocable right to use the service for the organization's internal business purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, sell or create derivative works from the service.

If you give us feedback or ideas about the service, we may use them without any obligation to pay or credit you.

14. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, data or goodwill, arising from use of or inability to use the service — including mistakes in transcripts or AI outputs.

In any case, our total liability to the organization and to anyone using the service on its behalf, on any ground, will not exceed the amount the organization paid for the service in the 12 months before the event — or USD 250 if nothing was paid.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the applicable law.

15. Indemnity

The organization will indemnify us against any claim, demand, damage or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from a breach of these terms by the organization or anyone acting for it, from organization content, or from recording a meeting without lawful consent.

16. Ending the agreement

The organization can stop using the service at any time by telling us. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the law, or that puts the service or other users at risk, and in other cases with 30 days' notice.

When the agreement ends, the organization can export its data within 30 days; after that we delete organization content as described in the privacy policy. Sections meant by their nature to survive — ownership of content, intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law — continue to apply.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date of the last update is at the top of the page. For a material change we notify registered users by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.

18. Governing law and disputes

The governing law and the courts that hear disputes under these terms are being finalised and will be stated here before the service opens to the public. Until then, write to us about any dispute and both sides will try in good faith to settle it within 30 days.

If any provision of these terms is found invalid, the rest remain in force. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
